San Francisco Winter Weddings are very rare for me, but this one was so special. The bride was a teacher and the groom (who is a triplet) was in the service so we had to plan around an impending deployment and school breaks. We also learned, midway through the planning, that this would be the last wedding at the Pavilion by the Bay on Treasure Island, which sits just outside San Francisco off the Bay Bridge. A huge construction project that seemed like just talk for years finally had a start date and a plan. After touring multiple water view locations around the Bay Area, the view of the San Francisco skyline from the Pavilion was the perfect setting for these two lovers of the ocean.
You’d never know, with all the vibrant colors we chose, that it was FREEEEZING…..our original plan was for an outside ceremony but the wind chill off the Bay was not going to let that happen. Guests arrived to hot ciders, teas, a coffee bar and plenty of heaters. Once dinner was served and the dancing started, it was seriously hot in there, lol.
This wedding was filled with so much love, excitement, from the first look to the packed dance floor……We forgot all about it being cold outside and today is their anniversary, so let’s take a peak back to their beautiful wedding day…..
