It’s Memorial Day Weekend, and for many, that means BBQ cook outs, family gatherings and a day off from work.  But the day really is about remembering our Fallen Heroes. I’m a Navy brat….and I grew up moving…. {I attended five different elementary schools}. The great thing, however, the network of Military families, unwavering in their support. This post is dedicated to the men and women of the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard and their families.

Have a fabulous day,

Gentlemen,

We know that you sometimes get lost in translation when it comes to planning the wedding and I just wanted to dedicate a little time to you.  While you’re role in the wedding is a little less stressful, it’s just as important…..afterall, if you hadn’t popped the question, there would be no wedding.

Here are a few of my favorite looks for the modern man.  Don’t be afraid to rock a little color, a bold pattern or something that’s totally “YOU”

Have a fabulous day,

Calling all my fashionista brides…..The NYC Bridal Market Spring 2013 is upon us and the designers rocked it….everything from vintage lace to bold pops of color.  Here are a few of the stand out trends for 2013….Enjoy!!!

Trend #1: Whipped, Frothy Skirts
Dramatic skirts glided like Angels wings down the runway {Dresses: Amsale Spring 2013 | Amsale Spring 2013 | Oscar De La Renta Spring 2013}
Trend #2: Cap-Sleeves
Vintage Inspired looks have captivated the fashion world and nothing was more prevalent in the 1920’s-1940’s than cap-sleeves.  This trend is making a huge splash this year {Dresses: Reem Acra Spring 2013 | Christos Spring 2013}
Trend #3: Big, Bold Embellishments
For the brides who subscribe to the “bigger is better” mantra, bridal designers are creating bold confections. Peplum skirts, embellished ribbon oversized bows and floral details stood out on the runways. {Dresses: Reem Acra Spring 2013 | Amsale Spring 2013 | Ines Di Santo Spring 2013}
Trend #4: Crystal and Ice
Fabrics covered in micro-crystals that create the shimmer of ice were rocking the runways….the perfect choice for the winter bride. {Dresses: Monique Lhuillier Spring 2013 | Reem Acra Spring 2013}
Trend #6: Asymmetrical -One Shoulder
One of the hottest bridal dress trends in 2012 is the one-shoulder wedding dress. Imagine an elegant and classic Grecian goddess look. These dresses are quite regal, not to mention they are gracing the red carpet on today’s hottest celebrities. {Dresses: Amsale Spring 2013 | Monique Lhuillier Spring 2013}
Trend #7: Sassy and Short
Who says your dress has to be a floor length ballgown? This season most designers included in their collections some sassy short dresses that would be perfect for partying all night long. {Dresses: Amsale Spring 2013 | Ines Di Santo Spring 2013}
Trend #8: Red
Inspired by the traditional Chinese wedding colour palette and the celebration of love, top designers like Romona Keveza, Oscar De La Renta and Vera Wang showcased bridal gowns all dripping in the boldest, most luxurious red hues. {Dresses: Vera Wang Spring 2013 | Romona Keveza Spring 2013 | Oscar De La Renta Spring 2013}
Whatever the trend, color or design…..be authentic to who you are and it will always be fabulous!!!
XOXO,

Tamara
